How Your Quote Is Produced
01
You send imaging and history
X-ray, CT or MRI plus a short description. No charge, and no obligation at any point.
02
A consultant reviews the case
The specialist whose subspecialty fits your diagnosis reads your imaging personally.
03
A written plan is issued
Diagnosis, recommended procedure, implant type, expected length of stay and recovery.
04
An all-inclusive figure is attached
One number covering everything in the included list. It does not change unless your clinical situation does — and you are told first if it might.
Insurance
We Support Your Claim End to End
- ✓Pre-approval documentation prepared before treatment
- ✓Bilingual medical records, operation notes and discharge summary
- ✓Itemised invoices in the format insurers require
- ✓Support through the claim until it is settled
We work with all major insurers. What is ultimately reimbursed is decided by your insurer under your policy — we make sure the paperwork never becomes the reason a claim is delayed.
Costs — Questions We Are Asked Most
Yes. Reviewing your imaging and issuing a written plan with costs carries no charge and no obligation. You are free to take that plan elsewhere.
Because they are. Private-hospital pricing varies by hospital, surgeon and implant. The ranges on this site are compiled from publicly available pricing and are indicative only — they are for orientation, not a quotation.
The package figure covers what is listed as included. It changes only if your clinical situation changes — for example if the operation found something the imaging did not show. You are informed before any additional cost is incurred.
Payment terms and accepted currencies are confirmed in writing with your treatment plan. Payment is made directly to the treating hospital, not to IMC.
Our coordination and insurance support is included. Anything payable is set out in the written plan — there are no fees introduced later.

Treatment Costs
What Treatment Costs, Stated Before You Commit
Indicative package ranges for the procedures patients ask about most, with the inclusions and exclusions written out. These are reference figures for comparison — your own figure comes from a written estimate after a consultant has read your imaging.
How Pricing Works
Three Things That Are True of Every Estimate We Send
Itemised, not a headline number
The estimate lists surgeon and anaesthesia fees, implants and consumables, inpatient nights and in-hospital rehabilitation as separate lines, so you can see what moves if the plan changes.
In writing before admission
You receive the estimate and the treatment plan before you commit to anything. No fee is charged for the specialist review that produces them.
Tied to a specific plan
A range is not a quotation. The figure narrows once the consultant has decided the approach, the implant and the expected length of stay for your case.
Documented bilingually
The estimate, the itemised invoice and the discharge summary are prepared in English and Chinese so your own physician or insurer can read them.

Your Figure
Four Things That Move the Number
What the imaging shows
A single-level fusion and a two-level fusion are different operations with different costs. The plan is set after the consultant reads the films, not before.
Implant selection
Implant brand and type are chosen on clinical grounds and stated by name in the estimate. You see what you are paying for.
Other medical conditions
Diabetes, cardiac history or anticoagulation can change the pre-operative workup and the length of stay. These are assessed before admission, not discovered on arrival.
Length of stay
The stay stated in your plan is an expectation based on the procedure. If recovery needs longer, the additional nights are charged at the rates given in the estimate.
Payment & Documentation
Practicalities
- Payment is made to the treating hospital, against the hospital’s own itemised invoice — not to IMC.
- You receive the itemised invoice in English and Chinese, suitable for submission to an insurer or employer.
- Insurance arrangements vary by policy and insurer. IMC prepares the documentation an insurer typically asks for; whether a policy covers treatment abroad is a question for your insurer, and IMC makes no representation about coverage.
- A deposit policy, where the hospital applies one, is stated in your written estimate before you commit.
Get your own itemised estimate
Send your imaging report. You receive the options a consultant identifies and an itemised estimate for each — at no charge and with no obligation.
Cost FAQ
Questions About Money
Yes. There is no charge for sending your imaging, for the consultant’s written review, or for the itemised estimate that comes with it. Costs begin only if you decide to proceed with treatment.
Because the operation is not fixed until a consultant has read your films. A range reflects the span between a straightforward case and a complex one for the same procedure. Once your plan is set, you receive a figure, in writing, before admission.
It matches the plan. If the plan is followed, the invoice reflects the estimate. Where a complication or an extended stay changes the plan, the additional items are charged at the rates already stated in your estimate — which is why the estimate is itemised rather than a single number.
That depends entirely on your policy, and it is a question for your insurer rather than for us. What IMC does is prepare complete bilingual documentation — the treatment plan, itemised invoice and discharge summary — in the format insurers normally ask for. We make no claim about whether any particular policy will pay.
The treating hospital, against its own itemised invoice. IMC does not collect treatment fees.
Nothing happens and nothing is owed. A substantial share of reviews end with the patient deciding to wait, or with the consultant recommending non-operative management. That is a normal outcome, not a failed enquiry.
