The hospital your case is coordinated with
IMC does not operate a hospital. We coordinate your case with Shenzhen Hezheng Hospital, an independently operated general hospital in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. This page sets out what the hospital is, so you can judge it for yourself rather than take our word for it.
Where it is, and how it came about

Shenzhen Hezheng Hospital
The hospital sits at the foot of Tanglang Mountain in Nanshan District — the part of Shenzhen closest to the Hong Kong border crossings. It was jointly invested by Yinghua (Hong Kong) Limited, Shenzhen Hezheng Huiyuan Investment and the Shenzhen Red Cross Society, and was built and is managed to the standard of a Grade-III general hospital. It is one of Shenzhen's key public welfare projects and an example of Shenzhen–Hong Kong medical cooperation under a public–private model.

Accreditation and designations
These are institutional designations issued by mainland authorities. They are the part of the hospital's standing that can be checked independently.

Greater Bay Area designated institution for the "Hong Kong & Macao Medicines and Devices" scheme
Listed in the second batch on 20 February 2023 by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission. This is the designation most directly relevant to a patient coming from Hong Kong.

Shenzhen designated medical insurance institution
Charges follow the Shenzhen municipal medical service price schedule. Cross-province insurance settlement has been opened for both outpatient and inpatient costs.

AAA credit rating

What this means if you are coming from Hong Kong

International Medical Centre
A dedicated centre with one VIP reception room and six VIP consulting rooms, and a VIP inpatient wing planned at 20 beds — all suites or single rooms.

Direct billing with international insurers
The hospital has agreements with a number of international commercial insurers. Four groups can usually be worked with: certified VHIS plans, international private medical cover (Bupa, Cigna, AXA, Allianz and others), Hong Kong local policies (Prudential, AIA, Manulife, China Life (Overseas) and others) and corporate group schemes. Direct billing runs between the partner hospital and international insurers; whether a given policy covers a treatment, or can be billed directly, is decided by your insurer.

Transfers included for admitted patients
Patients who are admitted are collected and returned by car. 〖To be confirmed: pick-up and drop-off points, and whether accompanying family are included〗
Service quality
The hospital reports an "A" in the non-public hospital medical service quality assessment, and municipal patient-satisfaction scores of 91.01 for Q1 2023 (9th of 75 non-public hospitals) and 90.55 for Q2 2023 (16th of 77). Among non-public hospitals operating both outpatient and inpatient services it placed 2nd and 1st in those two quarters respectively.
〖To be confirmed with the client: authorisation to publish these figures, the full name of the issuing body, and whether more recent quarters are available — 2023 figures will read as dated〗
